Recent two years, we had seen major football tournament happened in India, ISL(Indian Super League). Its synonymous to IPL-event in Cricket. There are lots of big international players involved so that this event should become successful.
Legendary Zico( Former Brazilian football player and Coach of Goa FC), once told ISL can be entertainment but not to really develop the skills of Indian players. If that to be happen, then good infrastructure has to be build and training and proper methods should begin from the pre-school days itself ..
I used to wonder that the way organizers are saying that these games are conducted in India to improve the football awareness and skills of Indian youth. So that there would be next generation world class players from India, playing around various international clubs and India's name can be part of major international football mark. But is it the really intent?
If the growth in football is the really intent, then why these matches are played only for three months? and after the tournament, there should not be any other major leagues and Still we are failing on international matches ? why?
